Joe Jacobson signed a two-year contract with Oldham Athletic on June 18th 2009, after being released by Bristol Rovers at the end of the 2009/09 campaign.
Jacobson started his career with his hometown side Cardiff City in July 2006, where he was reserve team captain and made one senior appearance for the Bluebirds. Jacobson joined Bristol Rovers in February 2007 where he went on to make 73 appearances for the Pirates.
Jacobson is a former captain of the Wales U21 team and is also a former captain of the Cardiff City reserve team.
